EAGLEVILLE, PA –-(Ammoland.com)-  Streamlight Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, sponsored two teams at the 12th Annual Shooting Industry Masters competition on July 18-19 2014, at the Indian River Shooting Range in Sebastian, FL.

Two employees, Brian Osborn and Melanie Mungin, received prizes during the competition.

Streamlight’s two teams joined 350 competitors and industry partners to raise money to support the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s (NSSF’s) First Shots, a shooting awareness and safety education program.

“Streamlight is very pleased to support this shooting match competition, which directly benefits the First Shots shooting education and safety awareness program,” said Loring Grove, Streamlight Global Brand Manager and founder of Streamlight’s Women’s Shooting Team.

“We’re especially proud to have had eight members from Streamlight participate in this year’s match.”

Streamlight’s men’s team included: Brian Osborn, Northwest Regional Manager, Law Enforcement and Sporting Goods; Tim Taylor, Director of Sales, Law Enforcement and Sporting Goods; Kevin Burger, National Accounts Manager, Law Enforcement and Sporting Goods; and Bobby Knight, Regional Sales Manager, Law Enforcement and Sporting Goods.

The company’s female team featured four employees, including: Patricia Lucas, Director, National Accounts, Sporting Goods and Law Enforcement; Loring Grove, Global Brand Manager; Chrissy Hoffman, Director of Materials; and Melanie Mungin, Marketing Coordinator.

Two standouts in this year’s competition, Osborn and Mungin both received awards.  Osborn won third place in the Individual Category, Industry Division, and Mungin won in the “Bullseye Challenge.”

The shooting competition annually brings together more than 400 shooting industry manufacturers, distributors, retailers and other professionals, competing on 82 different teams.  Participants take part in a series of rifle, handgun, and shotgun competitions.

Shooting Masters competitions have raised more than $280,000 to date to benefit First Shots, which helps ranges across the country introduce thousands of individuals to shooting and firearm safety.  Developed by NSSF and hosted by independent shooting facilities, the program provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to shooting by qualified range operators and instructors that includes firearm safety, local ownership requirements, shooting fundamentals, and hands-on instruction.
