Albuquerque, NM –-(Ammoland.com)- Yesterday I took the Tactical Carbine class from Strategic Tactical Group. The class was held at Global One, known to folks who’ve been around Utah and firearms for a while as “The Farm,” a top tier tactical training center outside Fairfield, Utah.

The night before, I taped a quick clip about my new pair of 5.11 Tactical pants, the Taclite Pro pant.  After I posted a review of my 5.11 tac vest the company contacted me and sent a pair for review.

I ran the course in my 5.11’s. I like the cut of the pants. They are comfortable, the fit is great, and I especially like how much room they provide. One thing I want on the range is complete freedom of movement without bunching. When I am on the range I want it to feel like Dancing With The Stars – all ballroom all the time. These pants deliver on both looks and performance.

Through November 1st they are doing a “buy two receive a free a free ATAC A1 Flashlight.” Included in the offer are any combination of men’s and women’s Taclite Pro Pant, Men’s Taclite Short and the Flex-Tac Stryke Pant, and they are doing a photo contest along with it. Enter a photo for a chance to win a grab bag of 5.11 gear worth $511.

Before doing a full review I’m going to beat em up a bit and see how they run over time. You can see some of the footage below from yesterday’s class. We shot through a full range of movement – on the ground, kneeling, and on the move. The pants performed superbly throughout.
