Wallet Hub is always coming up with all sorts of interesting studies and corresponding infographics, and one of their latest gatherings of information takes a look at the gun industry’s dollars dispersed throughout the United States.

In 2014 alone, the firearms industry contributed almost $43 billion to the nation’s economy and supported more than 260,000 jobs nationwide, but the part each state played in the industry varied tremendously. And interestingly enough, year after year, the government reaps great benefits from the gun industry as well, with nearly $6 billion paid in business taxes in 2014 and an additional $863.7 million in federal excise duties.
