The new line of Stag 10 rifles, chambered in the power packing .308 round, have officially been launched as the company opened up orders to consumers on Wednesday.

Debuted at SHOT Show in January, Stag held off on the release until March 8 — or 3/08 — to celebrate the .308 round. The new guns come in three flavors: the Stag 10, Stag 10S and Stag 10 Bones.

The Stag 10 tips scales at 9.4 pounds with an overall length of 39.25-inches. Featuring a chrome lined, 18-inch barrel, the direct impingement rifle offers a mil-spec single stage trigger with a non-adjustable five- to eight-pound pull. Furniture includes a Hogue grip and Magpul Fixed Rifle Stock.

The Stag 10S lightens the load, weighing 8.3 pounds with a collapsed length of 35.25-inches and an extended length of 38.50-inches. The 16-inch barrel is protected in a forged aluminum upper receiver with Picatinny rail. The 10S is outfitted with a Hogue grip and Magpul ACS Stock.

The Bones model offers, well, the bare bones. Weighing a mere 7.5 pounds, this scaled-down variant features an overall length of 35.5-inches with an 18-inch barrel. Equipped with a six-position receiver extension tube, this rifle does not come with a buttstock to speak of.

All models come with 1:10 twist barrel, VG6 Gamma 762 compensator and a 10 round PMAG magazine.

The guns range in price from $1,089 to $1,615 depending on model. Stag says they are expecting an overwhelming response to the new long guns with an average 4 to 6 week lead time for shipping.
