San Antonio, TX -(AmmoLand.com)- The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) is seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of National Director for the Scholastic Pistol Program (SPP).

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the SPP and related action shooting programs within the SSSF.

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF), is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization and is the national leader in youth development shooting sports programs. Using a combination of education and athletics, its mission is to enhance the growth and personal development of student athletes throughout the nation through the shooting sports.

The SPP National Director will manage a network of Regional Field Representatives and state advisors to grow and maintain SPP member teams across the country. Among other responsibilities, he or she will market the SPP to shooting ranges, schools, youth organizations, and youth shooting sports programs; coordinate education and training to new member clubs and coaches; serve as match director for national and some regional matches; and maintain and grow shooting industry support and sponsorship for the action shooting programs.

This is a full-time position, working remotely within the 48 contiguous states.

About SSSF

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) is responsible for all aspects of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and Scholastic Pistol Program (SPP) across the United States. SCTP and SPP are youth development programs in which adult coaches and other volunteers use shooting sports to teach and to demonstrate sportsmanship, responsibility, honesty, ethics, integrity, teamwork, and other positive life skills. SCTP was developed as a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) until the SSSF was created in 2007 to operate the SCTP. In 2012, SSSF created the SPP and became the managing foundation of both programs.
