Springfield Armory adds a little flare to the Saint line, launching a new flat dark earth model for the AR-15 series, the company announced Monday.
The latest offering from Springfield boasts the same features as the original Saint, with the addition of FDE furniture courtesy of Bravo Company. The PKMT KeyMod handguard, buttstock and trigger guards serve up the tan goodness while the lower receiver keeps to the Saint’s matte black theme.
Chambered in the standard 5.56 NATO, the rifle sports a 16-inch barrel bringing the total length to 35.5-inches with the fully extended stock. Weighing 6 pounds and 11 ounces, the AR-15 is equipped with a proprietary Springfield Armory trigger and low-profile flip-up sights with 1/2 MOA windage adjustments.
The Saint was launched in November 2016 after a lengthy social media build-up. Since it’s initial introduction, Springfield has offered upgraded models to include a free-floated M-LOK handguard and a California compliant version.
The new FDE flavor ships with a 30-round magazine and is priced at $899.
