Sportsman Channel’s “Sheep Shape” Takes the Road Less Traveled on Thursday, July 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
New Berlin, Wis. –(Ammoland.com)- This week, the “Band of Four” on Sportsman Channel’s Sheep Shape, face steep mountains and unrelenting weather. From a close call with a band of sheep to lethal rock faces and a quest for caribou, these men and woman continue to test their ability to overcome. All four hunters soon find out the road less traveled isn’t always paved with imminent success, but the reward far outweighs the struggle. Tune in to Sheep Shape on Thursday, July 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on Sportsman Channel.
Chad Hall, a bone cancer survivor, is perched atop a mountain peak in the Northwest Territories eyeing the band of sheep he and his guide have been following for hours. The intensity heightens when the seven sheep catch wind of his presence. Hall must attempt to take a shot or risk losing his final opportunity.
After successfully harvesting a ram in last week’s episode, Patrick Scrogin begins his next journey for caribou. He relies on technology to calculate his prosthetic leg’s movements and it needs a charge to keep him successfully moving. With a solar powered charger, and weather conditions remaining cold and dreary, there is a chance Scrogin will lose out on the opportunity to continue his high mountain hunt.
Also this week, Kelsie Burford opts to use her bow in the mountains of Alaska. But to arrive in the best hunting location, she must scale steep mountains. Burford and her crew could take the easier, more heavily traveled path around the mountain, but hiking over the mountain will take less time, bringing her one step closer to her goal. The path is treacherous and one misstep could cause Burford to lose her foothold and potentially cut her bowstring if she does not remain vigilant. It is her first spot and stalk sheep hunt, and the stakes are high for the ultimate reward.
“Everywhere you walk you have to make sure the rock is stable, or you’re going to slide down. It’s tough,” admitted Burford. “I’m really concentrating on my bow because if I lose a string…it’s over.”
