New Berlin, Wis. –-(Ammoland.com)- Enter the minds of Chris and Casey Keefer as they survived 30 days in Alaska’s backcountry in the Sportsman Channel original production, Dropped: Project Alaska.

The highly popular, award-winning series is re-airing beginning on Monday, March 17, 7 p.m. ET and running during the 7 p.m. hour all week through Monday, March 24. The famous “drop” is brought out from the vaults of Rusted Rooster Media and InterMedia Outdoors to showcase Alaska and grow excitement for the network’s coverage of Iditarod Unleashed, which begins on Tuesday, March 25 2014.

In the fall of 2011, the Keefer brothers were left on a river in a remote part of Alaska where they pitted their skills as hunters, woodsmen and anglers against an unforgiving landscape.

“The Keefers were perfect for this show – they shared the network’s desire to do something that was truly monumental in outdoor TV,” said Graig Hale, vice president of business development of Sportsman Channel.  “What better way to do that than by creating a real-life journey of survival set amongst some of the most stunning scenery in the world?”

They began their expedition with only 100 pounds of gear each. They had no provisions in their backpacks – all their gear was for catching, trapping or killing their food and then preparing it. “We brought our fans face-to-face with the reality of eating only what you can kill,” said Casey Keefer. “It was a true test of mind, body and soul.”

The series was so popular, it spawned “After the Drop” special on the network and “Dropped: Project Yukon,” which aired in 2013. The brothers returned to Alaska’s backcountry for another go in late 2013. Dubbed “Dropped: Project Alaska 2.0,” the show is set to air in Fall 2014 on Sportsman Channel.  To learn more, visit https://www.facebook.com/DroppedTV.
