Lincoln, NE -(Ammoland.com)- Space still remains in this year’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program – the annual Sandhills retreat that teaches women of all ages various outdoor skills.

This is a great adventure for mother/daughter combos, sisters, large groups of friends and individuals looking to enjoy a weekend with like-minded women who want to enjoy the great outdoors. The workshop is Oct. 3-5 at the national forest near Halsey.

It is designed to encourage women to become active participants in the outdoors, including activities such as kayaking, fishing, geocaching, archery, game cleaning, Dutch-oven cooking and a host of nature activities and shooting sports.

New activities this year include dove and waterfowl hunting. BOW workshops are geared toward adult women. Those 18 years of age or older who want to learn outdoor skills in a non-intimidating and friendly environment are welcome to register.

What is BOW?

The Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program is designed to help women become familiar with and enjoy many outdoor pursuits including camping, kayaking, fishing, shooting sports, hiking, wildlife viewing, fly fishing, hunting and many other exciting activities.

The program also provides adult women with the opportunity to meet like-minded women and learn the tricks and techniques to become a seasoned outdoorswoman in one weekend. Year after year, this annual weekend workshop provides quality hands-on activities in a safe and inviting atmosphere, giving women the skills needed to embark on their own outdoor journeys.

The Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program is ideal for novices who want to learn new skills in a comfortable atmosphere, as well as for seasoned outdoorswomen who want to try out new activities. Skilled BOW instructors provided one-on-one training at all levels.
