A music video released Sunday by rapper Snoop Dogg is drawing a little controversy, particularly for a single clip in which the rapper appears to shoot a clown dressed as President Donald Trump.
The video, which features Snoop Dogg and Kaytranada, is a Nightfall remix of “Lavender.”
But Trump’s not the only clown in the video. In fact, the entire world – except Snoop Dogg himself – is made up of clowns and the rapper recently said in an interview that’s exactly the point.
“The whole world is clownin’ around, and [Jesse’s] concept is so right on point with the art direction and the reality, because if you really look at some of these motherf-ckers, they are clowns,” he explained.
And in classic clown fashion, the gun Snoop Dogg uses to shoot the Trump clown doesn’t appear to project bullets, but rather flashes a flag that says, “BANG.”
