Aiken, SC -(Ammoland.com)- Although it’s still four days until the doors open to the 2016 Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) , bidding on the combined SHOT Show Auction Colt “Western Heritage” Single Action Army Revolver and John Bianchi Frontier Leather hand-tooled holster have already reached $7,500.00 on www.GunBroker.com.
The featured handgun in the 2016 SHOT Show “Western Heritage” auction is a Baron Technology-engraved Colt Single Action Army revolver paired with a hand-tooled holster by John Bianchi’s Frontier Gunleather. Revolver and holster feature a matching engraving theme.
The 4 ¾”- barreled .45 Long Colt is hand engraved by the artisans at Baron Engraving, engravers of more SHOT Show auction firearms than any other engraver in the 25-year history of the SHOT Show auction. Baron’s exquisite 75% coverage on this Single Action Army mirrors the L.D. Nimschke-inspired patterns featured on the Bianchi Frontier Gunleather holster. Baron engraver Erica True executed the fine engraving on the revolver. The “Western Heritage” Single Action Army features striking silver finish to properly highlight True’s engraving detail.
The addition of the matching holster, both in terms of the Nimschke-themed engraving and the coordinated “Western Heritage” Colt 01 design, has created special interest.
The impressive holster and belt are designed and hand-tooled by Matt Whitaker at John Bianchi’s Frontier Gunleather.
“Being selected to create the holster and belt for this ‘Western Heritage’ Colt is a special honor and privilege,” Whitaker said. “All of us at John Bianchi’s Frontier Gunleather welcomed the opportunity to be a part of this project, but I was personally honored to have the opportunity to create and executive this one-of-a-kind “Western Heritage” design holster.”
Both revolver and holster feature the “Western Heritage” design based on an authentic Texas Ranger “5-Peso” silver badge. High bidder will receive the original “Western Heritage” badge with COLT 01 inscription.
The Colt’s grips are handcrafted elk antler, selected by the artisans at Eagle Grips to compliment this special Colt. The SHOT Show Auction Colt and holster may be viewed at www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx.
The GunBroker.com auction will close on the final afternoon of the SHOT Show, Friday, January 22, 2016. All SHOT Show auction items will be on display at the GunBroker.com booth #15147 at the SHOT Show.
The SHOT Show auction is administered for the National Shooting Sports Foundation by the Hunting Heritage Trust.
