Madison, WI -(AmmoLand.com)- High-performance ammunition deserves a high-performance brand campaign.
Enter Shine United’s new efforts on behalf of Aguila Ammunition, a breakthrough effort with bold messages, bold graphics and bold investment in support of the brand’s rapidly growing lines of centerfire, rimfire and shotshell ammunition. “Feed your firearm,” reads the first print ad to launch in the campaign. “Guns are hungry,” reads another.
The campaign features military, tactical, hunting and competition shooters and speaks to their unquenchable desire to put rounds through their firearm. The campaign consists of print advertising, digital advertising, new website (www.AguilaAmmo.com), TV commercial, new packaging system, trade show exhibits and product catalog. The print ads are running in American Rifleman, Guns & Ammo, Gun Digest, Shooting Illustrated, Shooting Times, and Shooting Industry.
The digital campaign will be running in FieldandStream.com, OutdoorLife.com, Outdoor Sportsman Group, Second Media, Media Lodge, GunBroker.com and PoliceOne.com. Additional campaign elements are in the works and set to launch throughout the year, including a series of videos showcasing some of Aguila’s truly distinctive product offerings.
“Most shooters know that your firearm is only as good as what you put in it,” said John Krull, partner and vice president/creative director of Shine. “This campaign champions being in tune with your firearm by fueling it with a high-performance ammunition that will help you perform your very best.”
The campaign is Shine’s first effort on behalf of Aguila; Shine was engaged in June 2015 to help fuel its growth on the heels of a comprehensive modernization and optimization project that radically enhanced its product accuracy and reliability.
“We wanted to make some real noise in the industry to promote our full line of true highperformance ammunition,” said Kristi Drawe, director of marketing at Texas Armament & Technology, exclusive North American distributor of Aguila Ammunition. “Shine’s campaign is already generating significant increases in awareness and consideration, both in the channel and at a consumer level. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work and are excited about a big future together.”
About Aguila Ammunition:
Aguila Ammunition is manufactured in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, by Industrias Tecnos, S.A. de C.V. on the 120-acre site that has housed the factory for more than 50 years. In 2011, Tecnos brought in defense and aerospace group Texas Armament & Technology (TxAT) to assist with a facility-wide modernization and optimization project (MODOP). The allen compassing MODOP project, which is still ongoing, is focused aggressively on quality standards in order to enhance the accuracy and reliability of its product. Modernized equipment and lean production processes, such as SMED, are being deployed in the Aguila plant with great success. Founded in 1961, Aguila Ammunition is dedicated to the development and marketing of self defense, recreational, hunting, law enforcement and military ammunition. Aguila offers a complete range of products and is one of the largest rimfire manufacturers in the world. Aguila utilizes cutting-edge technology to manufacture quality rimfire, centerfire and shotshell ammunition. In order to guarantee reliability and performance, a strict quality-assurance program was implemented. It begins with the careful sourcing of quality raw materials and ends with ballistic evaluations and testing of the ammunition’s velocity, pressure, accuracy and performance.
