The Chapter expects 200 attendees at this year’s annual banquet, according to president-elect Nathan Baker, which will also commemorate the chapter’s 50th anniversary. “Our meeting theme this year is ‘A Look at the Past, Present, and Future in Wildlife Conservation,’ and we are very excited to have Mr. Mahoney serve as our keynote banquet speaker,” stated Baker.

“I am honored to join with the South Dakota Chapter of The Wildlife Society, particularly in this milestone celebration, and look forward to sharing with the group the great importance of continuing the conservation efforts that they, and other citizens like them, have made to date. Wildlife does not exist by accident, it exists because of the decisions that we make – or do not make,” says Shane Mahoney.
