Indiana –-(Ammoland.com)- As a spectator of the events unraveling in our blessed America, it becomes more clear to these eyes why so many in government and those of the populace have little regard for what the Founding Fathers and those brave souls who made the stand to establish America sacrificed.
That monumental endeavor was 273 years ago. But a mere 70 plus years ago we had another great generation that took on the unimaginable and look at the loss of gratitude for what they did.
The news reports this week about the World War II veterans visiting the memorial in D.C. facing barricades and barriers to prevent them from touring what they came to see because of the so called government shutdown are shameful.
The days of ticker tape parades honoring those brave warriors are lost to memory. It seems as though those brave and once very young soldiers may face mounted police in our nation’s Capitol if they come to reflect back on their departed comrades and reminisce on their heroic actions 70 years ago.
But for the Grace of God and a population of unhyphenated Americans during those critical times in history, freedoms and liberties were fortified, not just in this country, but other parts of the world as well.
Now we are witnesses to the miserable and the foolish who have managed to attain levels of authority that are incapable of understanding the terms; grateful, thankfulness, and appreciation.
