Carl Junction, MO -(AmmoLand.com)- With over 100 Action Pistol competitors expected to compete this coming weekend at the 2016 Midsouth Shooters Crawfish Cup (Regional NRA Action Pistol), Secure Firearm Products (SFP) will be the official Rail Mover Event sponsor at the Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club in Lake Charles, LA.

The main match is the Championship Match and consists of the Practical Event, the Barricade Event, the Moving Target Event and the Falling Plates Event. This match will be shot on Saturday. Although the Bianchi Cup used to offer an Aggregate Match, the Midsouth Shooters Crawfish Cup (www.thecrawfishcup.com) has kept it because it really puts the competitors through their paces. Many say that it is similar to an Iron Man competition, where the competitor fires one type of gun in the Championship Match and a different type in the Aggregate Match.
“Here’s a bit of trivia; most of the Bianchi Cup winners since 2011 have won the Crawfish Cup the same year. We are excited to have so many World Class shooters shoot our match,” said George Mowbray, match director for the Crawfish Cup.
Recently, SFP shooting team members, Mark Itstein and Doug Carden competed in the US National Steel Competition in Smyra Beach, FL and took home some top honors for themselves and the team.
“The 2016 US Steel Nationals are over. Four days of sun, fun, mud and rain,” says Mark Itstein. “Stiff competition with the Team Smith & Wesson Shooters, David Olhasso and Josh Lentz, but I managed to get in between the each by taking second place in each division. Thanks to all of my sponsors that continue to support me and the match sponsors and staff that make these matches what they are.”
Doug Carden said, “Another US Steel Nationals has come and gone. I feel extremely fortunate to come home with the third place law enforcement plaque after a long winter lay off.
