Pierre, SD -(AmmoLand.com)- The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Department proposed to lower the muzzle velocity for airguns from 1,000 to 600 feet per second while hunting cottontail rabbits, red squirrels, fox squirrels and grey squirrels along with any predator/varmint.
The Commission will finalize these proposals during their April 7-8, 2016, meeting at the McCrory Gardens in Brookings. Written comments can be emailed to wildinfo@state.sd.us.
