Gilbert, AZ –-(Ammoland.com)- I am reminded on the eve of this Veterans Day of something my grandfather told me many decades ago, “don’t say ‘Happy Veterans Day’– say, ‘Thank You.’ “

Veterans Day is the time set aside to remember the sacrifices our veterans have made on our behalf. It’s a day to acknowledge what they gave so that we remain a free country. While not all gave “the last full measure of devotion,” all sacrificed for our country and many continue to sacrifice. While we celebrate their sacrifice on Veterans Day, we owe them for every day we enjoy the blessings they helped maintain for us and future generations.

As we remember our Veterans, let us not forget the sacrifices made by their families and those who care for them. “They also serve who only stand and wait,” and who worry, lose sleep and sometimes receive the most unwelcome news.

I travel a great deal for Knife Rights and as I do I run into many veterans and current members of the military. I try to thank them for their service when I can do so, it’s the least I can do. Were it not for their sacrifices, I wouldn’t be here fighting for our rights today.

I encourage you to do the same. Thank a Veteran next time you see one.

If you are a Veteran reading this, then “thank you” from me and all of us at Knife Rights.
