DENVER (Ammoland.Com) – To honor and recognize U.S. servicemen and women who work, play and protect the citizens of America and world, Sportsman Channel is offering a Veterans Day Marathon presented by LAPG. Beginning at 5 p.m. ET on November 5, every program on the network will have a connection to the military. Selected shows will feature field adventures with veteran or current active military personnel living out their dreams of a larger-than-life
outdoor journey.
“The military men and women who have served our great country are engrained in the fabric of our everyday lives,” said Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks CEO and President, Jim Liberatore. “Sportsman Channel’s desire to reflect this is one way in which we hope to call attention and connect all Americans with its military heroes and history.”
From ex-Marine Craig Boddington hunting with friends on a traditional whitetail hunt in Petersen’s HUNTING Adventures, to Jana Waller on Skullbound TV hosting double amputee and army veteran, Corey Garmin as he scores his first bull, Sportsman Channel’s Veterans Day Marathon is focused on recognizing and connecting with the men and women serving today, as well as those who
have served.
In 1954, when November 11 was officially named Veterans Day, President Dwight D. Eisenhower called upon all United States citizens to join hands in a common purpose – “to solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom.”
Sportsman Channel’s Veterans Day Marathon airs on November 5 from 5-8 p.m. ET.
