“Safariland’s Armed Intruder course is designed to help save lives because it teaches participants initial actions they can take during the most dangerous part of a mass casualty incident. These are the first few moments of an active shooter event before law enforcement arrives,” Sandy Wall, training director for The Safariland Training Academy, said in a news release.

The course offers hands-on, scenario-based training to prepare both individuals and groups on how to react to an armed intruder in an active shooter scenario. The course is customized to each organization’s goal allowing for quick one-hour briefs all the way up to extensive 16 hour training. Students may also receive continuing education credits after completion via a partnership with Columbia Southern University, according to Safariland Group.

Interested organizations can sign up for a course or request more information via The Safariland Training Academy’s website.
