ONTARIO, California –-(Ammoland.com)- Safariland Congratulates Team Safariland members Mike Voigt and Maggie Reese who won the Open class and Iron Maiden classes, respectively, at the 2013 MGM Ironman 3 Gun Tournament June 2-8 in Parma, Idaho.

As one of the most grueling three-day matches in the circuit, competitors shot more than 1,000 rounds to complete the ten stages of fire.

Additional shooters competing with Safariland equipment also placed high in the ranks. Travis Gibson achieved a close second in the Open class and Mark Hanish took the Scoped Tactical class Championship.  Safariland also congratulates Barry Dueck for once again winning the Heavy Metal class which was followed closely by Mark Hanish.

The Safariland ELS (Equipment Locking System) was a constant denominator for all of the Team Safariland shooters equipment arsenal.   The use of the ELS forks and receiver plates on their gear made it simple to configure their belt for each course of fire. The ELS components offer a small footprint (1 7/8” x 2 3/4”), and a stable platform to allow several components to be placed at different angles and locations on the 032 ELS Competition belt. Pouches attach to the fork and they slide easily into the receiver plates mounted to the belt, providing the shooter a quick and easy way to set up their rig for each stage.

“During the development of the ELS system over the past years, Mike, Maggie and I used the Iron Man match as one of the key test beds for product testing,” stated Scott Carnahan, Vice President, Category Marketing, and Team Manager for Safariland. “Between shooting and having to transport about 100 rounds on each stage, the ability to change equipment out quickly and securely proved to be very valuable, letting us focus on our shooting and not worry about our gear.”

In addition to competing for the title, the Ironman 3 Gun Match provides a great training ground for military and law enforcement personnel as seen by the high number in attendance.  For more information on the ELS system used by these shooters, please visit www.safariland.com.
