Team Smith & Wesson’s Jerry Miculek Finishes Second Overall At The 2016 X-treme Bullet Texas 3-Gun Championship.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – -(Ammoland.com)- Team Smith & Wesson’s Jerry Miculek competed at this year’s X-treme Bullet Texas 3-Gun Championship held in Marble Falls, TX. Jerry battled his way through the Open Division with a score of 98.55%, finishing second overall and securing the top spot in two of the ten stages.
He shot the Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P9 Pro Series C.O.R.E. (Competition Optics Ready Equipment) pistol and the M&P15 rifle during the competition.
The Championship event featured a field of 247 competitors, including some of the best shooters in the sport, who participated in the 10-stage, three-day event. The match consisted of shooting on the move from challenging positions, walls, ports and barricades while engaging static, moving and aerial targets, and rifle shots out to 400 yards.
“This was a challenging match that required fast and accurate shots with 162 rounds of pistol centerfire ammo, 207 rounds of centerfire rifle, 113 rounds of shotgun birdshot and 12 rounds of shotgun slugs,” said Miculek. “It was a true test of endurance that forced that fine line between speed and shot placement. Having full confidence in the reliability and accuracy of my M&P rifle and pistol allowed me to push my performance to a finish near the top of the field.”
The Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P9 Pro Series C.O.R.E. (Competition Optics Ready Equipment) pistol model used by Jerry Miculek comes equipped with an adjustable trigger stop to reduce over travel, as well as a Performance Center sear for a more positive trigger reset and lighter trigger pull.
The M&P15 rifle comes standard with a forged upper and lower receiver constructed of 7075 T6 aluminum, forged integral trigger guard, chromed firing pin for extended life, M4 feed ramp for reliable feeding, and an Armonite barrel finish for corrosion resistant durability.
