Ruger will now offer an additional state compliant version of the Ruger AR-556 autoloading rifle, the company announced Friday on Facebook.
The state compliant version is Colorado and Maryland legal offering a limited magazine capacity of 10 rounds.
Chambered in 5.56 Nato/223 Rem, Ruger’s AR-556 measures just over 32-inches in length with a 16.10-inch barrel. Weighing 6.7 pounds, the rifle is equipped with an adjustable post front sight and adjustable Ruger Rapid Deploy rear sights. The Rapid Deploy sights are a folding design that provides windage adjustability.
The rifle is equipped with a six-position telescoping M4-style buttstock paired with a mil-spec buffer tube. The telescoping buttstock allows shooters to easily adjust the rifle for a proper fit despite outerwear or tactical gear.
Featuring an ergonomic pistol grip, the rifle utilizes an extended trigger reach for better trigger control. Handguards are constructed from heat-resistant glass filled nylon to increase comfortability while also remaining durable enough to take into the field.
The Ruger AR-556 comes with one 10-round magazine as well as a front sight tool for elevation adjustments. Available now from Ruger, the AR-556 is priced at $799.
