Coraopolis, PA –-(Ammoland.com)- The Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) has scheduled its second annual New York Grouse and Woodcock Benefit Hunt for the weekend of October 18-20, 2013.

Held at the On the Wing Grouse Camp in Malone, NY, the two day guided hunt has a 20 gun limit and if it’s anything like last year they’ll be gone quicker than a flushed grouse.

Registration — which includes guides with dogs, lodging, all meals with a full banquet dinner on Saturday — is $800 inclusive per hunter based on double occupancy. Individual guided hunt (single occupancy) $900, or two-hunter guided hunt (double) $1,500. Hunters are encouraged to bring their own dogs, as dogs are permitted at the Holiday Inn.

Participants also receive a one year RGS membership, complimentary RGS shell bag, two boxes of 12 or 20 gauge shotgun shells and a RGS sponsor cap and knife.

A 50-percent deposit is required and cancellation refunds (less $100) will be provide through Sept 15th. All major credit cards accepted.

According to On the Wing Grouse Camp president and NYS licensed guide (#0629) Bruce Bennett, the hunt will take place on camp grounds in Ellenburg Center, NY – a 1,000 acre parcel managed specifically for grouse and woodcock. The property is adjacent to 5,000 acres of state land.

A New York State small game or sportsmen’s license is required and provided you are already in the system can be purchased on line at: www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6101.html. Non-residents will need to provide a hunter education certificate ID number. Out-of-state hunting licenses are not accepted.
