Rock Island Armory’s guns have gone from being little-known, foreign-made bottom-rung 1911s to proud Filipino-American guns that deliver on quality and reliability in a surprisingly-affordable package that would make John Moses Browning happy.
They’re developing solid new 1911s that really pack in the features for far less than what many other companies sell their guns for, in configurations that few manufacturers bother with.
Case in point, their new 1911s chambered for 10mm Auto. The cartridge, which has a lot of fans, simply doesn’t get much market support at all. RIA turned the tables with a solid, affordable pair of 10mm 1911s earlier this year and show no signs of slowing down.
It’s clear that they plan on growing as players in the 1911 world. Whether or not you’re interested in 10mm, if you’ve been hunting for a 1911 that just runs and you don’t want to break the bank, you ought to check out all of the RIA pistols over at the Armscor USA website.
