Jim Fuller, perhaps the leading expert on quality Kalash builds in the country, has joined with Utah’s SilencerCo to cough up a mega sweet Summit collaboration in 5.45.
The build is a Rifle Dynamics RD501 in 5.45x39mm complete with a U.S.-made receiver and 12.5-inch barrel and Russian red wood hand guards. An Ultimak railed gas tube and triangle skeli side-folder give it a modern atheistic while a matte finish keeps it sedate. The snubby carbine is matched to a Saker 556K with a direct thread mount. Adding to the overall package, limited to 25 sets, is a reclaimed wood crate and red (what else) RD and SC logos just so those on the range know what’s up.
Price through SK Arms is $4,150. Wow.
And just because it’s so swag, here are some pics of last year’s AK-104 inspired 12.5-inch SBR offering from SilencerCo and Rifle Dynamics in 7.62x39mm with a Grey Omega/ASR can and hider– just in case you forgot.
