RGS To Hold Fundraiser Dinner In Andover, NJ

RGS – -(OutdoorWire.com)- The Skylands Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will hold its 9th Annual Sportsmen’s Banquet on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Perona Farms, 350 Andover Sparta Road, Andover, New Jersey, beginning with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 8 p.m.

As is the custom at this fundraiser, the event will feature live and silent auctions, games, drawings and door prizes, highlighted with the finest selection of quality firearms, artwork and other collectable’s.

According to James DeSaye, membership and dinner tickets are $80, couples ticket, $120 (add $10 to ticket cost if purchased after Jan. 24). Banquet, Conservation and Sustaining sponsorship packages are also available at $285, $500 and $1,000 respectively.
And, continuing in the spirit of the outdoors, youngsters under the age of 16 who recently took and passed a hunter education course and/or women who have participated in a recent Outdoors Women program, and can verify same, will receive a complimentary dinner ticket when accompanied by a paying adult

Banquet tickets can also be purchased on line through the RGS website up until two weeks of the event. Just go to www.ruffedgrousesociety.org, click on Select State in the Migration Mapping & State Information box in the right panel of the home page. Choose a state; than under Upcoming State Events, click on the event of interest and you will be linked to a display of all important event details, including the ticket chairman’s contact information.

As with all RGS fundraiser’s, proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat.
