Yields More Than $ 31,000 in Support of Outdoor Traditions.
Las Vegas, NV –-(Ammoland.com)- Powered by more than 100,000 “views” and nearly 160 bids on GunBroker.com, the 2012 SHOT Show auction generated $31,827 in support of America’s hunting and shooting sports heritage.
Coordinated by the Hunting Heritage Trust in conjunction with the NSSF, the 2012 SHOT Show auction on GunBroker.com featured a unique “Glock Statue of Liberty Pistol”, a fully engraved Baron-Winchester Model 1892 rifle commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Baron Technology and two custom Ross Tyser knives.
Bidding was scheduled to close at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 20, the final day of the SHOT Show, but active bidding toward the close of the auction triggered GunBroker.com’s 15-minute rule and several 15-minute extensions.
When the GunBroker.com gavel finally came down, the high bid on the Glock Statue of Liberty Pistol was $15,025; the high bid on the Winchester Model 1892 fully engraved by Baron Engraving was $$12,802 and the two Ross Tyser custom knives auctioned for $2,000 each.
The 2012 SHOT Show auction proceeds will benefit the efforts of the Hunting Heritage Trust and Youth Shooting Sports Alliance in support of America’s hunting and shooting sports heritage.
