NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- With Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 Election Day quickly approaching, NSSF is stepping up its effort to remind people to become educated about the candidates’ stand on issues critical to our industry.
Important election information is presented at NSSF’s voter-education website, www.nssf.org/gunvote.
NSSF has sent all-purpose decals of the #gunvote button, reading “#GUNVOTE 2012 DON’T RISK YOUR RIGHTS,” to NSSF retail and range members in 15 key battleground states.
The limited supply of excess stickers quickly disappeared as we fulfilled member requests.
If you are going to be out of town during Election Day, as will likely be the case if you are attending the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers’ Expo & Annual Meeting in Orlando, which runs Nov. 6-9, you’ll want to make sure you have arranged for an absentee ballot.
Sometimes registering for and receiving the ballot takes several days, or even weeks, so check online or contact your local election board now to start the process.
Find absentee voting information, with links to 14 states, here. If you reside in an early voting state, you may be able to vote right now, even if you won’t be away from home.
