British film company Realm Pictures assembled a crew, went online with a “real life” first person shooter experience, and invited the internet to play along with some interesting results.
Setting it up in their garden, the producers lined up the sets, weapons, locals made up as zombies, and story line then threw a GoPro on the first person “hero” to get their point of view.
Realm then streamed the experience and sought interaction from users on Omegle, Chatroulette, and Skype who eagerly jumped into the live action game play.
At first players seemed shocked they were actually in control of the situation, they quickly ran with it, blasting away zombie hordes while looking for weapon upgrades hidden around the sets.
All we can say is, how do we sign up for the next installment?
