Twelve people were fatally shot at the office of a weekly satirical publication, Charlie Hebdo, in Paris Wednesday in an apparent terrorist attack by militant Islamists. Among those killed were two police officers and staff members of the publication, which has received stark criticism, threats and other acts of violence in the past for its satirical content of Muhammad.
Witnesses said they heard the three masks gunmen, who are still being sought by authorities, yelling, “We have avenged the Prophet Muhammad.”
The video, taken from an upper level window from a building across the street, shows the sheer unemotional methodology in which the attack was executed.
French President Francois Hollande called it an attack “of exceptional barbarity.”
