Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On October 13 2014, Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR) accused Republican challenger and Iraq War veteran Tom Cotton of feeling “entitled” to win the Senate seat in November.
Senator Pryor is the son David Pryor (D-AR), a former Senator who held the very seat his son Mark now holds.
Cotton is an Iraq War Veteran whose father Len Cotton served in the 4th Infantry Division in the Vietnam War, according to Combat Veterans for Congress.
Pryor voted for Obamacare; Cotton calls the bill a “disaster.”
According to the Associated Press, Pryor stressed that Cotton is getting ahead of himself by running for Senate–that he is letting his “ambition” get ahead of his leadership skill. Cotton stressed that he valued the leadership skills he gathered in Iraq and Afghanistan far above the kind of skills people who vote with Obama “93 percent of the time” demonstrate in Washington DC.
Senator Pryor likes to talk about leadership in Washington. I learned leadership in the streets of Baghdad and the mountains of Afghanistan. And let me tell you, you can learn a little more there than you can in the halls of Congress. Leadership requires toughness. It requires courage. [And] Senator Pryor simply isn’t tough enough to stand up to Barack Obama and put Arkansas first.
