Although women are a growing demographic of hunters, the industry has long been lacking options in dedicated lines of camo clothing for hardcore female hunters.

Prois is gunning to fill that void with real camo — that is, neither pink nor trimmed in pastel hues, but rather, made with the silent materials, fit, and innovation demanded by serious huntresses.

Prois hunting and shooting gear is designed for women, by women and best of all, many of the garments are Made in the USA.  They cover all needs from baselayers and shirts, to various weights of outerwear, raingear, upland clothing, range pants, safari wear, shooting vests, and even a line for girls.  The company is based in Gunnison, Colorado.

During the NRAAM in Louisville last weekend, the gals at Prois were showing off their new Galleann line of ultra-thin, packable camo rainwear with both jackets and pants.

Gaelic for “storm,” the Galleann jacket is waterproof, breathable, has taped seams, waterproof zippers, a storm hood, and packs tightly into its own pocket for easy transport.  Available in Realtree APX, Max 1, or Olive and sizes from XS-XXL, retail on the jacket is $199.

Likewise, the matching pants are built the same, and stand out with their full leg zipper for easy on-and-off, and a detachable cuff gaitor that anchors to boots, keeping the pant legs in place.  Retail on the Galleann pants is $179.

With an extensive pro staff including names like Donna Boddington, Tracy & Lanny Barnes, and Julie Golob, Prois is poised for a long run of success in the industry.  The Prois line of technical hunting and field apparel was created to met the needs of female hunters and shooters with high-quality gear tailored for the specific build of a woman’s body. Where to buy?  In addition to direct sales from their website, Prois is available in a growing number of retailers, including Cabelas.
