Texas – -(AmmoLand.com)- “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” — Thomas Jefferson, writer of the American Declaration of Independence, Founder of the University of Virginia, and 3d President of these United States of America.
Okay, we have suffered and labored through another round of Democrat (socialist) Party presidential debates. I am so worn down that I may actually eat a “meatless” burger. Isn’t that somewhat oxymoronic, a meatless burger? I think it should be called a “plant-based patty.”
See, down South, we have a saying, “that dog don’t hunt.” For me — and perhaps some of y’all — eating a plant-based patty, or embracing progressive socialism, should receive that simple southern euphemism . . . “that dog don’t hunt.”
We are living in a time with folks advocating that some amalgamation of stuff is supposed to be a substitute for a nice juicy meat burger, topped off with cheese and whatever else one desires. As well, there are equally delusional folks trying to get us to believe that the failed philosophy of socialism is a viable substitute for liberty, freedom, individual rights, free-market economics, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.
Once again, we were treated to another episode of debate moderators who are jaded and unwilling to challenge or confront these candidates about their absurd policy assertions. Sen. Kamala Harris’ Climate Equality Act? Really?
Let me ask a simple question: how has it worked out for Venezuela? Ya know, their decision to substitute a free-market, capitalist economic system with a socialist economic model? Heck, there ain’t no dogs hunting in Venezuela because starving people are eating them. A different kind of burger? What is so doggone hard for people to get through their heads when they listen to these frauds ramble on about wealth redistribution here in America?
I am sick of hearing these leftists talk about how President Trump is a threat to democracy. Thomas Jefferson, far more intelligent and competent than all 20 Democrat (socialist) presidential candidates in the debates combined, clearly told us what would cause democracy to cease. And, even before that, there was Scottish political philosopher, Alexander Fraser Tytler who articulated the same.
Tytler stated:
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
Simple question: what part of this is misunderstood? If there is one lesson, one quote that we should be sharing all over the internet, everywhere, billboards, it is Tytler’s quote. Why don’t progressive socialists get this? Well, it is easy, they are stuck on stupid.
This explanation is what John Delaney was trying to get through the thick skulls of leftists when he went after Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Think about it, Bernie Sanders had to reduce staff hours so he could pay a $15 minimum wage. This explanation by Tytler goes to the heart of the folly of universal basic income and these other insidious fiscal schemes developed by simple minds, and embraced by mindless lemmings, aka “useful idiots.”
We are well into Tytler’s cycle. I would say we are at the phase of abundance to selfishness to apathy. Our lack of care and concern has led us to the point where we are being manipulated by a propagandized media and incompetent politicians. Our once esteemed system of education has been replaced by a system of indoctrination where young people are not being taught to be critical thinkers, but just collective drones.
What these leftist presidential candidates are promoting is nothing more than the last two phases on Tytler’s cycle: dependence and bondage. What they want to bring forth is not economic empowerment, but rather economic servitude and enslavement. Who the heck wants that?
Like I said, who the heck wants a “meatless” burger? Progressive socialism is like that meatless burger: that dog don’t hunt.
