New Berlin, Wis. –-(Ammoland.com)- ‘Tis the season for Savage Outdoors host Mike Stroff’s annual whitetail deer hunt.

Stroff lands in South Dakota with high hopes, but has to improvise when his luggage – including his hunting gear – doesn’t arrive with him.

Discover how Stroff carries on with the hunt on Savage Outdoors, airing exclusively on Sportsman Channel on Tuesday, December 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Stroff gets back on track sooner than expected and is able to get down to the real issue – finding a big buck.  “I knew we’d have a good hunt, but I needed to make sure I had something to hunt with first,” said Stroff. “I eventually got my bow and we were able to take advantage of the great hunting location.”

As temperatures began to drop, Stroff’s friend Mark began tracking several whitetails. The unrelenting conditions did not stop the men from making the best of their hunt. “It got colder, but that’s when we knew we’d have a better shot,” said Stroff.
