Pro Shooter Jason Koon of Team SIG Ranks High at 2010 National Rifle Association (NRA) Bianchi Cup
EXETER, NH –-(Ammoland.com)- Team SIG shooter, Jason Koon, scored third overall in the Open / Combined Aggregate and a fourth place finish in the Metallic Sight Division at the 2010 National Rifle Association (NRA) Bianchi Cup held May 26-29, 2010 in Columbia, MO.
Koon snagged his third overall placement in the Open / Combined Aggregate only eight points behind the lead with a score of 3767-267x. He also scored 1876-119x to secure his fourth place Metallic Sight Division finish.
He was bested by Robert Vadasz (1904-146), Rob Leatham (1894-153) and Troy Mattheyer (1892-127) in this division. The Bianchi Cup offers an Open, Metallic and Production Division Championship and draws shooters from all over the world.
“When I compete in matches, like the Bianchi Cup, I want a gun that is going to give me the confidence I need to do my job well, not only for myself, but also for my team,” commented Koon. “The unparalleled quality of the X-Six PPC and the X-Five Bianchi gave me the reliability and accuracy I needed to do so well here.”
The NRA Bianchi Cup originated in 1979 by former police officer John Bianchi of holster maker Bianchi International as a Law Enforcement Training match. The Course of Fire consists of four separate matches: the Practical Event, the Barricade Event, the Falling Plate Event and the Moving Target Event. Competitors shoot from both standing and prone positions and are also required to shoot with both strong and weak hands at various stages.
Jason Koon’s next competition is the 2010 Pro-Am Championship in Tulsa, OK July 15-18, 2010.
