Cody Lundin of TV’s “Dual Survival” to appear
Phoenix, AZ -(AmmoLand.com)- The fourth annual Prescott’s Great Outdoors! event will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11, at Watson Lake Park.
The outdoor recreation festival and expo is designed to be a fun and educational experience for people of all ages and abilities who enjoy the outdoors, or just want to learn more. Activities will include a 300-foot zip line, a four-person climbing wall, instructional rappelling, kayaking, disc golf, and a netted cove with more than 2,000 catchable rainbow trout.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department will provide interactive displays and exhibits on wildlife research in Arizona, off-highway vehicle (OHV) safety and more. The department also will bring several wildlife species from its Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center.
On Saturday, the event will feature an appearance by Cody Lundin, survival expert and former star of Discovery Channel’s “Dual Survival.” Lundin also is the director of the Aboriginal Living Skills School in Prescott.
A half-dozen bands are scheduled to perform, five different food vendors will be on-site, and several sportsmen’s organizations will be on hand to discuss outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the weekend.
Daily admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 7 through 17, and free for children 6 and under. Watson Lake Park is managed by the City of Prescott and is located on State Route 89 in the Granite Dells. The entrance is the shared roundabout with Willow
Lake Road.
