Authorities say they believe the teen girl whose body was found in an Atlanta park Tuesday morning was shot multiple times while trying to run away from her attacker.
The victim, who was later identified as 19-year-old Bridget Shiel, was found completely naked surrounded by several dogs. She had been shot multiple times in the back, buttocks, arms and legs, and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they don’t believe the park was the only crime scene, but that she was likely shot and killed at some other location before her body was dumped at the park. Authorities also added that rare bullets they recovered may be a big clue in the case.
Shiel’s car was recovered the day after her body was found, but police still do not have a suspect at this point.
