A 38-year-old Georgia man was charged with murder after he allegedly shot his friend following a wrestling match that got out of hand at a Monroe home over the weekend.
According to Walton County Sheriff Joe Chapman, Daniel Tabor Reed and a friend – both former Marines – were wrestling around 1 a.m. Saturday when the match escalated and Reed fatally shot his friend. The friend’s name was not released, and Chapman did not provide further details into how or why the playful match escalated.
Reed was arrested and taken to the Walton County jail. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
