Pioneer Pheasants Forever Chapter Hosting Upland Presentations in Quakertown PA

Focused on Pennsylvania Wild Pheasant Recovery Areas and new upland initiatives.

Quakertown, Pa. –-(Ammoland.com)- Next Thursday, the Pennsylvania Pioneer Pheasants Forever chapter will host presentations on the status of pheasants and quail and upland management in Pennsylvania.

This event will be held at the Milford Township Building in Quakertown and is both open to the public and free of charge.

The presentations will cover subjects such as “The Status of Pennsylvania Wild Pheasant Recovery Areas” and “Updates on the Pennsylvania Quail Management Plan.” Further discussions will review how these initiatives relate to southeast Pennsylvania and a Q&A session. Speakers include Scott Klinger, Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) Farmland Wildlife Biologist; and Shon Robbins, Pheasants Forever (PF) Regional Wildlife Biologist.

“Our chapter is excited to host this event and show the public the positive momentum that is taking place for pheasants, quail and upland habitat” said James Humes, President of the Pennsylvania Pioneer Pheasants Forever chapter, “I would urge all hunters and conservationists to get involved with the habitat restoration efforts in Pennsylvania. We have a rich outdoor history in Pennsylvania, and it is a tradition that the Pennsylvania Pioneer Pheasants Forever chapter wants the next generation to be able to enjoy.”

Shon Robbins noted, “This meeting will be a great opportunity for the community to learn more about the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pheasants Forever’s combined efforts in reestablishing pheasant and quail throughout Pennsylvania.”

The Pennsylvania Pioneer Pheasants Forever chapter welcomes new members. In addition, the chapter is actively seeking committee officers who are willing to be involved with the chapter’s grassroots habitat mission and pheasant restoration initiatives in Pennsylvania.
