Outsiders Identify Top Outdoor Priorities
The Outdoor Foundation Releases its Outdoor Nation Special Report: Youth Outdoor Priorities.
Washington, D.C. – -(Ammoland.com)- The Outdoor Foundation, an organization dedicated to inspiring and growing future generations of outdoor enthusiasts, today released its Outdoor Nation Special Report: Youth Outdoor Priorities.
In this Special Report, Outsiders give direction to future plans and strategies to the kinds of initiatives that are most important to this growing community.
Outsiders top priorities are outlined, as:
- Development of more trails and parks to connect urban and rural communities.
- Funding for State and National Parks to create projects that encourage visits by minority communities and low income families.
- Education for individuals and families on how to be responsible stewards of the outdoors.
- Greater availability and the encouraged use of clearly marked bikes lanes in cities.
- Integration of outdoors experiences with classroom learning so it becomes part of the standard curriculum.
- Creating and promoting inexpensive ways for urban area youth to experience the outdoors.
- Increased government support for making public lands more accessible to all people.
