HUNTING THE HEARTLAND
New Berlin, WI -(AmmoLand.com)- Heartland Bowhunter is an award-winning TV series on Outdoor Channel that is hosted by two life-long hunters, Michael Hunsucker and Shawn Luchtel.
The TV series documents the duo and the rest of the HB team as they search for everything from whitetail deer to Canada geese and seek the best bowhunting experiences throughout the Midwest, including Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Heartland Bowhunter, in its eighth season on the network, is celebrating its 100th episode with a one-hour retrospective of the highs, lows and comedic outtakes from the last 99 shows.
The special two-part episode begins with Michael and Shawn’s earliest hunts captured on video. Fans will get an in-depth look at their three-year pursuit of a buck nicknamed “Junior,” the discipline it took as Michael and Shawn patiently waited for Junior to mature, and the conclusion of the pursuit on opening day of Missouri archery season. The special also will chronicle some of the best youth hunters that have made appearances on the series, including Clay Craft, Alexa Easley and Addy Campbell, as well as some of the biggest (and baddest) game to date. And, of course, no retrospective would be complete without a medley of the funniest outtakes and gaffes.

The special two-part, one-hour episode of Heartland Bowhunter premieres on Monday, August 24 at 11:00 p.m. ET. An encore airing is slated for Saturday, August 29 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
