Open House At The Ducks Unlimited Youth Tract
CLAY CENTER, NE –-(Ammoland.com)- July 12, 2010 – Ducks Unlimited is hosting a free, weekend-long family-oriented event at the Verona Youth Tract in Clay County, NE, that will feature fun, food and learning about the outdoors.
This event is a great chance for youth, their parents and family members to experience ATV rides in the wetlands, target practice with BB guns and exploring the “duck soup” that features all the bugs that live in wetlands and ducks find delectable. “Big Red,” a huge wetlands tractor, will be on display and will give attendees rides.
DU staff will be serving food and cold drinks at the event. There will be many educational opportunities at the two-day event with DU biologists and engineers on-hand to speak about the importance of wetlands and wild places for people and wildlife alike.
When: Saturday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to sundown; Sunday, July 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: From Clay Center, drive three miles east on Highway 41, then go two miles north on County Road Q, then travel ¾ mile east on County Road 315.
From the north, take I-80 to Exit 332, go south on Highway 14 for 16 miles, cross Highway 6, continue two miles south, turn east on County Road 315 for ¾ mile.
