DALLAS-(Ammoland.com)- Media representatives interested in attending one of the world’s fastest-growing outdoor conventions and expos only have a few weeks to pre-register for credentials. The 2017 DSC Convention returns to Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and Omni Hotel Dallas, Jan. 5-8 in Downtown Dallas.

To accommodate the increasing media interest in the event, DSC is making it easier for the world’s sporting press to attend and cover the annual convention with a revamped pressroom and easy pre-registration process.

To pre-register, contact Blue Heron Communications media coordinator Greg Duncan at greg@blueheroncomm.com for a copy of the 2017 DSC Convention Working Media Guidelines and Media Credential Application. Both documents can be downloaded here, filled out and sent to Greg Duncan as well. Qualified registrants, upon arrival at the convention center, can simply follow the signs to the pressroom to pickup their badge.

“We urge each media member interested in attending the convention to pre-register. With growing interest in the convention, we want to provide a hassle-free and streamlined process for media to obtain their press badge. Pre-registering also allows us to prepare for any special needs or requests,” said DSC Executive Director Ben Carter.

Pressroom hours will mirror show hours during the 2017 DSC Convention: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday; and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The family-friendly 2017 DSC expo is open to the public and will fill more than 800,000 square feet. Approximately 1,000 exhibitors and 1,800 different booths will feature outfitted hunts, guns, gear and much more.

The DSC convention and expo is one of the biggest fundraising events in Texas. The 2016 convention set new records for attendance and fundraising. Each night’s banquet sold out with more than 1,300 attendees. The convention also added 450 new members, giving DSC a global membership of more than 6,000 hunter-conservationists.
