Gretna, NE –-(Ammoland.com)- Zombies in the Heartland ending up being a little more work than we had planned, but it was time well spent.
One of the larger turnouts I’ve seen for a 3-Gun Competition, but it wasn’t exactly your standard shoot.
With reactive Zombie Targets, and three different shooting classes, there was something for everyone at the event, even those who weren’t competing. With the help of the National Guard, Omaha Air Tactical ran the CQC Zombie shoot, where anyone was allowed to take there chance at Zombies in a Close Quarter Environment, with M4A1 Airsoft Replicas with Red Lasers so they knew exactly where to put the shot.
Visitors ranged from 10 year olds to adult competitors in the match, everyone wanted a chance to see what “real” Airsoft Replicas were about.
Red Jacket stopped by to see KWA’s PTR, and much to my surprise they already own Airsoft Replicas and skirmish whenever they can.
Not only did it give kids a chance to have fun while their parent’s were shooting, but it also let the target shooting community know about the latest and greatest in Airsoft, and the tactics and muscle memory that transfers over to real steel. At the end of the weekend, Exeter and Hornady took care of us and let us have some fun with their toys.
All in all it was a great weekend, and were happy to help run the CQC Zombie Shoot.
