Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- Today, House Bill 492, sponsored by state Representative Rick Jasperse (R-11), goes into effect.
HB 492 clarifies some of the technical language from last year’s landmark pro-gun reform legislation, House Bill 60.
Among many of the technical changes, HB 492 clarifies that government buildings are only a prohibited place for people who do not hold a valid Georgia Weapons License (GWL), allows for the renewal of a GWL up to 90 days before and 30 days after expiration and clarifies that the issuing authority Probate Judge cannot require a fingerprint for GWL holders, regardless of the county in which the GWL was issued.
Thank you to all of the NRA members and supporters of the Second Amendment who contacted your elected officials in support of this important measure.
