Officers in Winslow Township, New Jersey, were ecstatic when a 5-year-old boy used his allowance money to buy them lunch last week, and on Tuesday, they came to his house with a very special surprise as a way to say “thank you.”
William “Bubba” Evertz, Jr. stood outside of his home Tuesday as a fleet of police cars rolled up, lights flashing and sirens roaring, then Bubba was led to an enclosed police trailer. Sitting inside was a miniature patrol car customized just for the little boy. The department even worked with a local business to ensure Bubba’s patrol car had genuine Winslow Twp Police car decals.
