New Jersey –-(Ammoland.com)- In the worst attack on the Second Amendment in state history, the New Jersey Assembly today voted to pass over 20 pieces of anti-gun legislation – the same bills voted out of the Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee February 13 2013.

Some of which were amended and consolidated following that meeting. Today’s vote was largely along party lines, with some notable exceptions.

We will distribute the full details of today’s vote as soon as they are available.

Please note that these bills HAVE NOT BECOME LAW. They now move to the NJ State Senate, where they will face new scrutiny, and the committee process will begin anew.

Anti-gunners still have a long uphill battle to enact these bills into law.

There are potential key legislative dates in March and April when this legislation could begin to move through the Senate, but those dates are not yet confirmed.

Please be ready to travel to Trenton up to two more times in the months of March & April, and to be ready to mount the largest grassroots campaign against this legislation in state history.

Please watch for upcoming urgent action alerts.
