Florida accessory maker SB Tactical introduced a new stabilizing brace for AK-style firearms that while changing the shooting experience does not change the legality.
“Installation of the SBM47 does not change the classification of a pistol in accordance with GCA provisions,” the company said in the announcement.
The SBM47, featuring a slim profile and enhanced cheek weld ergonomics, now ships in both black and FDE as a complete assembly with an AK adapter, tube, and brace.
It weighs 15.2 ounces, is 11.6 inches long, including the mounting adapter, and features an adjustable .75-inch nylon strap for a custom fit.
Depending on type, the new brace retails for $150 to $170.
