ONTARIO, CA -(Ammoland.com)– Hatch announces today the availability of its newest series of duty glove models with touchscreen capability, following a successful debut at the 2014 Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Tradeshow (SHO T show) in Las Vegas, NV.

Unlike other gloves on the market with stitched-on excess material to provide touchscreen capability, Hatch has integrated ATS (Advanced Touchscreen System) technology within the material, creating a seamless design for improved tactility and dexterity.

Hatch worked directly with law enforcement personnel to develop this new series of gloves that meet the evolving operational needs of an officer’s daily activities. The new Patrolman, Technician and Contact Touchscreen glove models feature the ATS glove system, an enhanced touchscreen technology, which is embedded into the thumb, index finger and index knuckle.

With this innovative structure, incorporating ATS technology eliminates unnecessary seams or materials in areas where tactility and dexterity are most important, and provides another area of contact. This seamless design provides improved sensitivity and flexibility allowing for greater use with any touchscreen device.

“A key feature of Hatch’s touchscreen gloves is the integration of touchscreen capability into the knuckle portion of the index finger,” said Adam Avitabile, Category Director for Hatch. “Sometimes an operator’s job can be messy and being able to answer a phone call or operate a touchscreen device with a knuckle allows the user to do so without contaminating their device or having to remove their gloves.” While each glove was designed for a slightly different job or functionality, all four models feature touchscreen-compatible material on the thumb, index finger and knuckle of the gloves and are available in sizes S to 2XL.

The Patrolman Touchscreen Duty (TDG-100) glove is intended for everyday use by patrol officers. A performance-fit gusset back improves overall flexibility while the perforated leather material provides all-day ventilation and comfort. Soft, sheepskin leather materials offer increased tactility while the flexible, closure-less neoprene cuff aids in easy donning and doffing of the gloves.

The Patrolman with CoolMax Touchscreen (TWG-100) glove was created to complement the Patrolman glove for warmer climates. The combination of CoolMax performance fabric and soft, sheepskin leather materials provides both comfort and ventilation along with increased tactility. The TWG-100 provides a secure and comfortable fit using a four-way stretch nylon spandex in the finger sidewalls and features a hook and loop closure at the wrist.

The Technician Touchscreen Utility (TUG-100) is a rugged all-purpose glove for any user and incorporates reinforced rubberized fingertips for enhanced tactility and synthetic materials for durability. The TUG-100 provides a comfortable fit and features a hook and loop closure at the wrist.

The Contact Touchscreen Flight with NOMEX IIIA (EFG-100/200/300/400/500) glove provides aviators, law enforcement and civilians with full-coverage protection for duty-related tasks. This flame-resistant glove is sewn with all NOMEX thread and features a durable leather palm. While the EFG Series gloves extend past the wrist to protect a larger portion of the forearm, there is a convenient cut-out panel to accommodate a wrist watch.

All Hatch touchscreen models are available in black and the Hatch EFG-100/200/300/400/500 is also available in sage, desert, foliage and coyote.
