New Additions to National Shooting Sports Foundation Board of Governors

NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- At its annual meeting last month in Naples, Fla., the National Shooting Sports Foundation Board of Governors announced several changes.

Richard Hammett, who has retired as president of Winchester/Olin, resigned his seat. Hammett was one of the Board of Governors’ longest-serving members and also served as treasurer for many years.

“We thank Dick for his leadership and service to NSSF and our industry,” said Bob Scott, chairman of the Board of Governors.

Brett Flaugher, vice president of marketing and sales for Winchester, is Hammett’s replacement.

Richard Lipsey, chairman of the firearms wholesaler Lipsey’s, resigned his Board of Governors seat to make way for Kent Williams, owner of Quincy, Ill.-based Williams Shooters Supply. Williams is chairman of the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW).
